Chandrababu Naidu arrested during march protest


Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu and his Party leaders were detained as they were proceeding in a rally to the electricity office in Hyderabad to protest the hike in power tariff and erratic supply. They were taken to Banjara Hills police station and later released.
The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu and his party leaders started the rally from NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP headquarters, but they were blocked in the midway by police on Road No 3, Banjara Hills.
There was a duel between the TDP leaders and the Police as the latter tried to whisk them away in police vans. After 45 minute drama, the TDP leaders, Including Chandrababu were taken to the Banjara Hills police station.
The TDP president condemned the arrests and told reporters that his party would continue protests till the government in Andhra Pradesh dropped the move to weigh down common people.
The Former Chief Minister said AP Transco had outstanding loans of INR 16,000 crore. He alleged that the government was planning to shift the burden to people through the tariff hike.
