First networked dialysis centre opens in Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Jan 9 : Bangalore-based Nephrolife, a pioneer in kidney care and a leading Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) provider, has established its first and exclusive state-of-the-art unit in Challa Hospital at Ameerpet in the city today.


Speaking to mediapersons, after inaugurating the 10-bedded unit, Nephrolife Founder and Managing Director Shriram Vijayakumar claimed, "We are the only providers of networked dialysis in India".

The dialysis could be monitored with centralised system and it also automates the entire record entry process, he said.


Nephrolife has set new standards for patient care and safety, which are comparable with the best in the world, he claimed, adding dialysis was carried out in a comfortable, private environment, with imported recliners, IPTV and LCD screen facilites, he said.

Mr Vijayakumar said to ensure the highest quality clinical outcomes, Nephrolife adopts internatinal standards protocols and infection control precautions with a highly-trined team of technicians and therapists.

By foraying into Andhra Pradesh, Nephrolife is now present in major southern states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and the Union Territory of Pandicherry, the Director said, adding the combined bed capacity of Nephrolife has reached over 100 across nine centres.

"We are planning to establish another six centres in Hyderabad within a span of eighteen months period and at Bangalore, 60 dialysis machines were established in six centres," Mr Vijayakumar added. (UNI)
