Jagan to go ahead with T-fast, as TRS silent

Decks have more or less been cleared for the 48-hour deeksha of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at Armoor in Nizamabad district from Tuesday.
So far, there has been no action plan announced by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi or the Telangana Joint Action Committee so far, though both the organizations have declared that they would strongly oppose Jagan’s programme. Unlike in the case of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s Rythu Poraata Baata in Warangal district, there have been no threats and no aggressive talk from the local TRS leaders. The police, too, have not been resorting to any preventive arrests of the Telangana leaders fearing that there would be violence from them.
So, it is obvious that there would not be any hurdles for Jagan’s Telangana tour. At the most, the Telangana groups might resort to token protests here and there and court arrest, but there may not be any large scale violent protests as was witnessed in Naidu’s tour.
If at all there is any trouble, it will be from the Telangana TDP activists who might take up protests across the Nizamabad district tom embarrass Jagan.
